Posting Just to Post

ugh. my second blog post. Why does this feel so much like pulling teeth? To be honest, I would much rather be sitting here surfing house porn (I had almost kicked the habit and then I got sucked back in by the cool map search engine at the Ebby Haliday site.) Every day some topic comes up and I think “gosh, I should blog about that” but then I don’t, and the thought passes, and of course now, when I’ve actually forced myself to sit down and write, nothing is coming.

Why do it, you ask, if it’s so painful? Aren’t blogs supposed to be fun? I’m not sure, really. I think that the blog may become fun for me some day, but now it’s like piano and I just have to practice it. (Not that I was ever self-disciplined enough to practice piano.) (and just so you know, I just typed out a big ‘ol long paragraph and then deleted it because I couldn’t figure out how to say what I want. See? Not fun.)

One Response to “Posting Just to Post”

  1. I love your blog and I love that you blog and as a semi-regular blogger who initially found it excruciating, I can promise it does become more fun, you relax a little, get more comfortable, even find it like a comversation where you don’t ever get cut off, where someone gives you a thoughtful response and where the quiet little thoughts have room to be cultivated. May I put a link from my blog?
